FRYEBURG, Maine —  Spring is coming, and organizers of the Home Garden Flower Show, May Fair, at Fryeburg Fairgrounds are deep into preparations for the annual show, May 19, 20, 21, 2017;

Now in its 17th year, May Fair has developed into more than just a home, garden and flower show. The show fills seven buildings featuring businesses and services to improve your home’s appearance and efficiency, and five acres of outside exhibitors, demonstrations and seminars. With the addition of the Wine, Craft Beer and Cheese Pavilion and the Indoor Farmers’ Market, May Fair is bigger than ever.

“All About the Home” is the theme for the home part of the show. Returning presenting sponsor, House to Home by Chick Lumber, highlights its creativity with a show within the show and introduces its very own market place. Manufacturers representing kitchens, baths, fencing, decking and interior design consulting are but a few on hand to talk about and show what’s new and trending inside and outside the home.

Celebrating the Artisans of Craft is the theme for the Artisans and garden related businesses and will be a big part of the picture at the 2017 Home Garden Flower Show, May Fair — painters, sculptors, woodcarvers, photographers and more —displaying and selling their creations. Ongoing demonstrations on the stage and entertainment throughout the weekend offer a truly unique opportunity for attendees to shop and learn at the same time.  “We are devoted to both style and substance, finding artisans and craftsmen from all over New England and giving them a forum to share their talents and stories with a greater audience,” said show Producer Karla Ficker.

“Artisan and Crafters are not typically celebrated or even seen by the masses,” Ficker continued. “We will not only raise awareness by sharing their talents with demonstrations and talks attendees have the opportunity to see, touch and buy from local and regional Artisans and Crafters.”

The Meet the Chefs cooking series will be highlighting “International Cuisine; French, Greek, Vietnamese, Thai and Asian dishes will be prepared by regional chefs.
