FRYEBURG FAIRGROUNDS — Chris Lambton, host of the HGTV and DIY (Do It Yourself) networks home-improvement show, “Yard Crashers,” will be at the 2017 Home Garden Flower Show, May Fair, taking place May 19-21 at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds.
Chris Lambton, a professional landscaper who lives on Cape Cod and helps run the family’s landscape business first caught America’s eye on The Bachelorette and now brings his expertise to HGTV’s new gardening and landscaping series. In each episode, Chris and his wife, The Bachelor alum Peyton Wright, transform neglected backyards into amazing outdoor spaces that are perfect for entertaining.
On Saturday, May 20, Lambton will present a seminar on “Backyard Basics and Sustainable Landscaping.” Chris will also be part of a panel discussion with Paul Parent, host of the long-running “Paul Parent Garden Show.” Attendees are encouraged to bring their photos and questions to the panel discussion.
The three-day Home Garden Flower Show, May Fair, now in its 17th year, features up to 300 inside booths in seven buildings, and approximately five acres of outdoor displays, with products and information on home improvements, cooking and gardening.
About The Home is the theme for the home part of the show. Manufacturers representing kitchens, baths, windows, doors, fencing, decking and interior design consulting are but a few on hand to talk about and show what’s new and trending inside and outside the home.
Artisans and garden related businesses and will be a big part of the weekend — painters, sculptors, woodcarvers, photographers and more —displaying and selling their creations. Ongoing demonstrations on the stage and entertainment throughout the weekend offer a truly unique opportunity for attendees to shop and learn at the same time. “We are devoted to both style and substance, finding artisans and craftsmen from all over New England and giving them a forum to share their talents and stories with a greater audience,” said show Producer Karla Ficker.
“Artisan and Crafters are not typically celebrated or even seen by the masses,” Ficker continued. “We will raise awareness by sharing their talents with demonstrations and attendees have the opportunity to see and buy from local and regional Artisans and Crafters.”
