FRYEBURG — The Fryeburg Fair is over, and now it’s on to the Home Garden Flower Show, MAY FAIR.

The 2017 Home Garden Flower Show, MAY FAIR, takes place May 19-21 at the Fryeburg Fair grounds, and planning is already well underway. Theme for 17th annual show will be “About the Home.”

“As a homeowner, we always have a to-do list,” said show producer Karla Ficker. “The show gives us the opportunity to not only see what’s new in home improvement, inside and outside, but to see what’s new to the market, what’s trending, and, most importantly, it’s an opportunity to talk face-to-face with businesses.”

It’s also a chance for businesses to talk face-to-face with interested, qualified customers.

“For businesses in Maine and New Hampshire, the show provides that targeted audience already interested in doing a home improvement project — kitchen design, appliances, heating and cooling, roofing, windows and so much more,” Ficker added.

The show has grown from just three buildings at the Fryeburg Fair to seven and features exhibits and demonstrations on not only home improvements but also gardening, cooking and arts and crafts.

reviews,” Ficker said. “In 2016, we also added some agriculture exhibitors. One of those agricultural exhibitors was a local farmer who offers goatscaping. We encourage local farmers be a part of the show and meet new potential customers”.

The show takes place during spring planting season. There will be organic and conventional garden centers on hand with a vast selection of perennials, annuals and vegetable seedlings just waiting to be brought home and planted.

“Artisans and crafters are also an integral part of the weekend, with a hugely diverse array of local, unique and interesting artists and crafters,” Ficker said.

Approximately 11,000 people attended last year’s Home Garden Flower Show, MAY FAIR and nearly 300 businesses connected with new and returning customers.

Registration forms are online and will be emailed to potential exhibitors for the 2017 show. For more information, call (207) 935-2845 or visit or Facebook at
